I recently learned some disturbing news that I'm going to share with you because I'm a giver. Did you know that a common estimate for global consumption of plastic bags is more than 500 billion annually? Isn't that INSANE? I'm usually pretty good about bringing my own bags to the farmers' market but now I'm a thousand percent serious. From now on, I'm toting my veggies (and other more unhealthy things that may or may rhyme with "candy") home in the rePETe Sling Bag by Chico (http://www.chicobag.com/p-42-chicobag-sling-repete.aspx). since there's so many rainy days here in norcal right now... i've been watching empire records (love liv tyler!) and curling up on my couch with a big cup of tea. and reruns of house (love hugh laurie!).

Review
I received the Sling rePETe Chico Bag. (Thanks!) The bag is roomy and the handle/strap is wide and very comfortable on the shoulder. It's long enough to wear the bag diagonally across the chest, but I'm not sure it would be comfortable walking in that configuration if the bag is full of groceries. It's likely better suited to less bulky loads, although it'd be a great way to bring a sweater, bottle of water, and food to a music festival, because you can fold the bag into the pouch and hook it to your belt loop when you're done with it.
The one I received was purple and I abhor purple (in other words, I haven't used it). I'm going to give it to my mom, so I don't have feedback on how to works irl, but I like the size and straps enough to consider getting another one in a color I would use. The bags come in purple, vivid blue, olive green, a nice medium grey, and a nice brownish rust/clay color.
