The place is the gulf.  I would be staying in a rental on the beach where I could take my dogs with me and have no problems finding a place for them to walk.  I love the beach, but I hate the return home because I feel so guilty for leaving the dogs, and they're stressed out from not knowing what's going on.

I'd love to spend the summer in California, in the San Francisco bay area.

I'd like to go somewhere that has mountains and beach.....CA I guess! I love both, so that would be the best of both worlds. And I love me some marshmallows~!!!!

Bike touring in Ireland and Scotland. I love the countryside there, and I love that it isn't too hot and humid (or wasn't when I was last there in 2002). I met some amazing people, saw some sights that just blissed me out or blew me away.

Dream summer vaca? Ohhhh...that is hard! I really want to go to Costa Rica--but if I could go *anywhere* I think it would be the Easter Islands! I would love to go and see the Moai!

Northern CA or Oregon. Camping by an empty beach, I can feel truly peaceful. No music, shopping, housework. Ahhhhhhhhh....

My daughter has been asking for marshmallows for a while, and of course, as soon as she expressed interest, my Whole Foods stopped carrying them.

With all the heat and humidity we've been having here, I'm excited for some 60 degree San Francisco weather. It will be great to enjoy the cooler weather, the vegan restaurants, the museums, and the vegwebbers! Sounds like an ideal summer vacation to me!

I'd preferably be on the Maine coast for a summer vacation.  Water, Mountains, and Forests at the same location, how could you go wrong?

I would love to go to mountains somewhere where its snowy!!! To get a cabin somewhere hidden and go snowboarding/skiing all that cool stuff i've never got to do! That would be the best summer. I'd be away from the florida heat and tourist crowd. (plus then i could roast marshmallows to warm me up!)

Scandinavia. I've always dreamed to run across the endless wide green plains, roam the ruins of folkore, and see bits and pieces of what may be in my history. I've been told I'm Scandinavian and, from what I've read and seen, it seems like a beautiful place. The vegetables seem fresh, the flavors simple, and the people seem so friendly. I would love to visit even though as of now it would be quite complicated to get there since its basically across the world.

The Philippines.  The culture is so original and I love that you can explore the jungles, the rural and the urban at the same time.

On another thread you should tell us more about traveling to the Philippines.  My co-worker is retiring and moving back.  We gave him a watch and a work monogrammed jacket and he said that if he wore them there he'd be kidnapped.  And if we visited we would be at risk of being kidnapped.  Maybe he was just trying to scare us off from visiting him, but I'd love to hear about positive travel experiences.
