I just wanted to thank you all for stopping by the newly redesigned VegWeb! We're so proud of and excited about the site, and we hope you will be too.

I like the new look a lot, am mourning my lost recipe box, - would love to have the star system back and greatly miss the ability to sort the recipes by rating!
at first glance it's a bit shiny and new but even with me being a technophobe I'm sure I'll love it quick time. as others have said, having trouble locating recipe box and previous receipes submitted but hopefully guess this is all in hand and they'll return. is it me or isn't there a feature to continue adding to our receipe box? also miss the ability to edit comments before/after posting!
You might want to rethink showing the text of the last post on the "community" top page. Just sayin'.

Hey All! Just wanted to let you know that some changes in the forums went into effect last night. Please go ahead and test them out and let us know what you think! The recipe boxes and a few other issues are still being worked on to roll out in the next phase, we're just taking it slow, trying to cover everything and get it right. Keep your eyes out for some big changes this week and next! Thanks!!
I am really missing my recipe box too :-( Glad you guys are working on it! Also, I haven't been able to access VegWeb for a while because you were having trouble with Malware, and my browser wouldn't let me on. It looks like that has been fixed now too?
I haven't yet tried editing anything, but I'm pleased that the ability to edit posts appears to have returned.
Recent new problems include:
- threads with new posts do not seem to be marked as such,
- threads are no longer sorted by date of last post, and
- my user info in the upper-right part of the page (everything in #quicktabs-user_block) seems to belong to someone else. This apparently includes seeing the number of unread messages their account has, though my profile page (and mailbox) still seems correct. ETA: And immediately after posting it now shows my name again. I wonder if everyone sees the name of whoever posted last? (Just before it was showing my name as thpeppermntleaf)
That's been happening to me too, Kuzu.
I wish we could quote other people's posts like we used to.
I'm showing up as random users.... I'm wondering if this will post under my username or one of the weird ones that keep showing up.
eta: Should have read the posts before I posted it, good to see it's not only me, hah.

kuzu & underSARAH - sorry, that's a known bug and we're working on it right now! Updates soon!
Hey WML, I just edited a post and there were a couple issues -
- the bold tags don't work (they used to; not sure if this is specific to edits or a problem with posts in general now)
- the edited post shows up as a new post, dated today. Like I deleted my original one and posted it anew or something.
FB & kuzu -- thank you so much for your testing and feedback! I am reporting back all your findings, I cannot thank you both enough. The forums are getting there!!
Edit3: So, to summarize, html-style tags seem to work for me (at the moment), even when editing (maybe it was a typo in the tag name?). More importantly, bbcode-style tags work too. So we now can have colored text.
On the plus side, it seems faster and, when you click on the text of the most recent post, you get taken there instead of the first page of the thread.

Hi Laura! I know you're working hard, especially on stuff like the recipe box. I looked through to make sure no one else had mentioned this, so I hope no one already did and I missed it... Instead of really using the "recipe box" feature, I used to always just look through my own photos of things I'd tried to have a visual little menu of "what's gonna be for dinner tonight?..." I see a lot of my old food pictures on my profile, but lots are missing, too. I'm sure I'll never remember all of them, but I know that many of them are not there. Is this another of those things that is being migrated over slowly, or are they lost and gone forever? Thanks so much for all your hard work. :)
A lot of very old threads have reappeared, but at the same time more current ones seem to have vanished, and I can't find them. I spent an hour last night on the Kitchen Sink board looking for some current threads with no success. I wanted to add to those conversations. I hope we can search for thread topics soon; it's not surprising the boards are so quiet if people can't find what they're looking for.
