Hi all!
I just wanted to thank you all for stopping by the newly redesigned VegWeb! We're so proud of and excited about the site, and we hope you will be too.

Subnicks are those little phrases that appear under a user's avatar. Something that you like or that expresses your personality. My last one, for example, was "I am not 100 other people, are you?" Kind of like a siggy line, but under your picture.
On the old site the subnick also doubled as a sort of title on that user's profile page. For example, here is an archived copy of yabbitgirl's old profile in which the subnick is "Hummus: The Miracle Food". I think in SMF terminology it may have been called the user's "Personal Text". Also, here is an archived thread where, Laura, your subnick is "I love to cook! And eat! And eat!". (I didn't have one, but sometimes was entertained by what other people came up with.)
