Don't feel bad. I think its tricky too. When you open up the list of blogs, towards the top of the page there should be a green bar with links in it, click on the one "work on my blog" that should help. Then after you write one, make sure to click on the box next to "publish"

The blogs are weird! There should be a "write new article" link at the top of your bog.

Another question about blogs. Is it legal to post cookbook recipes in a blog as long as you site your source?

I don't see why not--if it's clearly cited and your up front that it's not yours--I would call that playing by the rules! ;)b

If the recipe is not modified at all..and you are just copying it into the blog, check the internet first. It doesn't seem quite right to post it on the web..if it's NOT already there. You know, the authors what people to buy their book! I know that most of us VWbers are extremely considerate, and know to buy the book if we're using recipes from it (and this is why I have shared a few recipes from books with others), but..you never know. Just a thought!

I believe that posting cookbook recipes is considered plagiarism...the rules of the web are vague. But many cookbook authors specifically ask for their content not to be posted online.

I started a blog yesterday. No big, personal revalations are in it. It's not even really for an audience. I want to write something other than work letters and decided a blog was the way to go.
I need help with it. When I put a space between paragraphs, it displays as a double space. How do I make it a single space? Also, is there a way to edit a blog entry once it's been published? I couldn't figure out how to get back into the one with double spacing to see if I could fix it.

Like, when you hit enter? I dunno about that one, but you can edit the entries if you click "blog manager" at the top right hand corner of your blog page, then you can modify.

Blerg! I know! The editing is tricky on the blogs--also, if you use your arrow keys to back up it will initiate the overwrite and then everything just goes to hell when you go back and proofread and edit--and to this day I can not find a spell check on there! I ususally write my blogs in word and copy them in--but then the double spacing goes to quadruple spacing and oh *sigh* it gets very difficult to deal with!

The ol' writing it in Word ploy? (Any Pink Panther fans out there?) I'll try that tomorrow. My goal is to write a short paragraph a day. But then I don't have to fret over spacing. It's just on the weekends when I have more time.
