Butterfinger sponsored a Vegetarian HATE VIDEO!
http://video.yahoo.com/network/100284668?v=5822028&l=3774760
I just found this stupid Vegetarian HATE VIDEO that Butterfinger calls "comedy."
This is the quote from the video...
"I just hate cows so much. I eat it for moral reasons.
It feels so good that more of them are dying."
I do not eat animals and I think corporations that support hate media like this should be boycotted. Please help me share info about this stupid video.
i can't view the video. What's the gist of it?
It is of a comedian who complains about people calling themselves veg*n, when they still 'occasionally' eat meat, he then goes on about how he doesn't eat beef because it tastes good, but because he hates cows....I see it as a play on the veg*n saying I'm veg*n because I have vegetables....I don't really see how it is 'anti-veg' though....
I dont think this is really that bad.
I hate to admit it, but I thought it was really funny. It struck me as more pro-veg than anti-veg. I think he was just being sarcastic. And it's true, many people who say they're veg actually aren't!

WHAT?
:o
He says, "I just hate cows so much. I eat it for moral reasons.
It feels so good that more of them are dying."
I don't see the humor in that and I feel that this is hateful.
We don't need any more hate in the world.
If I actually thought he was serious, I would be offended. Again, sarcasm. I have a BA in sarcasm, so I tend to find well-placed sarcasm to be funny. I didn't find it hateful at all.
And I agree, we don't need more hate in the world! :)
p.s. This is just my opinion. I can see why you would be offended. I just took it a totally different way than you.
I laughed out loud when he said, "No, that's called a liar. You can eat your chicken in HELL!"

This.
I understand sarcasm and understand the humor in the first part BUT not the last part. I have been a vegetarian for 19 years and I don't think it's funny when he says, "It feels so good that more of them (animals) are dying."
I just wanted to share this info with people interested in change. I wrote Nestle already and let them know how I feel. I am sure other people out there feel like I do. We are sick of hate towards animals.
Good luck to all of you.
Peace.
ya that didn't offend me at all... i think the part about i'm a vegetarian but eat chicken once in awhile was actually hilarious... but i dont think this is a veg hate video :-\

i thought it was pretty funny too!
i personally didn't care for the part about how he enjoys cows dying but - it was said in jest and it was a funny play on concepts how he see's it as his moral duty to eat steak even though he doesn't care for the taste of it
yeah, I'm pretty sure he doesn't really hate cows.....
we have to be able to poke fun at ourselves sometimes
I don't get the last part, either. I'm not particularly offended by it since I know he's joking, but I don't really get it; or maybe I get it and I just don't find it funny?
It's a play on this:

Man, we should've hung out in college, Tess! ;)
But yes, I agree with what most people have said, I thought it was pretty funny and I loved the part where he called out "fake" vegetarians
If you turn off the TV your life becomes very free.
I dislike a lot of modern "comedy" and don't find it funny. So I don't watch it. Not on TV, not online, not at all.
It's amazing how much free time I have now.
I thought it was funny. What's with all the uptightness on vw these days?

The person who posted it was a first poster, so I don't think he/she counts as VW. Ya know? I thought the beginning of it was funny, and the rest was just neutral/stupid. Definitely not HATE.
In other news, I like watching TV!

In other news, George Lopez. Everyone needs to go watch his standup right now--"Why You Cryin'" on youtube.
