Ok---I know you are somewhere hidden out there...
You know who you are---you've casually came across an episode (or 100) of the series. You know about Manny's unwanted pregnancy, Craig's rockstar coke addiction, Paige's love/hate relationship with Alex or that Jimmy's in a wheelchair because of a school shooting.
I hope I'm not the only one...

I'm also WAY too old to admit that without embarassing myself.
Best show ever. I didn't know Craig was addicted to coke! I stopped watching around the time all the good eps were coming on.
Didn't Marco start dating Paige's brother?
I cried too. I feel like a lame-o sometimes but I justify watching it because some of them are in 'college' now, and I'm starting college...late hehe.
Alex is cool. Page looks like a piggie. I just love the good old drama that goes on in every episode. I can't believe some characters are just CUT at times though. What ever happened to Hazel, the black girl?
Marco and Dillan were dating, but then stopped when Dillan went to college and was seeing other people---then got back together and moved in together---then Dillan moved to Switzerland to like pursue soccer or something. Then Marco gambled a bunch of money away out of sadness hehe.

Also, Hazel... she was hangin all over Jimmy, right? And got jealous when Ellie and Jimmy got close?
I didn't really like her.

Uh I remember watching Degrassi in the 80's - Caitlen, Joey, Snake, etc is this a "new" Degreassi?

So... if the original kids are now the teachers and parents, does that mean one of the current kids is Caitlin's? I remember her having an unwanted pregnancy which came about because of her belief that she could not get pregnant her first time, and her relying on the "standing up afterwards" method of birth control...
Was it caitlin? I know Spike's daughter is Emma who she had young...who's a whole new bag of tricks. Shane her father was crazy when Emma meets him later, and Spike eventually marries Snake.
I thought it was Spike who got pregnant...to Shane, is that right?

I have no idea what you're talking about, but I have a question about "tng." Is that part of the name of the show or does it stand for something else?
tng= the next generation. I used to watch Degrassi Junior High when it was on repeats. Great show. I don't watch TV now though, so I've not seen tng.

We live in the age of the remake. It all started with Muppet Babies. Nobody has original ideas anymore. I'm not saying this particular show, I'm saying--all of them. Whatever happened to new, fresh creativity?
As Michael Caine said, you can always remake a failure and get something good, but how can you remake a runaway success and expect it to be better? ???
Grease 2, Muppet Babies, Tinytoons, remakes of Moby Dick and this and that and the other...when does "tried and true" become "old and tired"? :-X
I agree about the world remaking everything. I've grown up in a time where I've had the sloppy seconds :) Some which I enjoy, some which I loathe.
I do miss watching the older cartoons still on television when I was young :) I remember there were these looney toon 'documentaries' and for a while there were some really great newer cartoons on NIckelodeon like rocko's modern life, ren and stimpy, little monsters, and more.
