Evasion Part 3: What TV Series Would You like to Live In?

OK, so I've asked about what movie or book you'd like to live in. Now, what TV series would you like to inhabit?

I've always wanted to live in Northern Exposure for awhile. They seem like my kind of people.

Mad Men
I want to be Joan.

Aww, you took mine.  (Not sure about the cold and darkness though...)

I want to work at Dunder Mifflin (The Office).  :P

I like everything people have chosen.  It would be fun to be in different shows for short periods of time. I would also like to spend some time in Californication.

Heroes!! I don't watch TV regularly, but upon a friend's suggestion rented the first 2 seasons on DVD. Great show, although I've heard that subsequent seasons weren't quite up to par. :/

Firefly, Defying Gravity, Stargate Universe, or Virtuality. I desperately want off Earth at least for a little while.

This is soooo often the case! So many series outlive their usefulness...either they are forced to make many more episodes than they originally wanted to (see Mad About You, in which the producer and scriptwriters conspired to kill the series when they were forced by the network to do 2 more seasons than they wanted to) or they simply run out of ideas and begin to repeat themselves (the later episodes of The Cosby Show)  or go all "trauma drama"  (as in the final seasons of MASH).

Don't worry, I'll share! Meet you at Roslyn's Place!

I just thought of another one: Dharma and Greg. I really love her apartment, and the way she lives. (I once dreamed she was my sister and  she visited me in hospital, but that's just sad).

Question: why is this in Current Events instead of Brain Food, all of a sudden???

ETA: My mistake. They just changed the name of the category again. "Brain Food" is no longer on the list. Nicely confusing.

Yeah, it took me a while to find what happened to the Brain Food threads.  I just offered this piece of constructive criticism, if you'd like to offer a 'me too':

Oooh, Firefly!!  I don't know; I guess I'd have to be a lot braver to live there...

I am bumping this thread and its 2 companions because there are so many new VWers and I'm curious about their choices.

And before anyone moans about reactivating old threads, just don't click on it again. No harm done.

Easy! I've always loved and wanted to be a lawyer on Boston Legal. James Spader's character is a role model.

Oh, JM, I am sooo jealous. They say it rains a lot in WA. I would love that! Rain, trees, and Roslyn's Place...what more could I ask?
I do notice that even in winter it's not very dark in "Northern Exposure." While I know it's not literally "night six months of the year" in the frozen North, they do seem to have too much sunlight...LOL

hehehe it isn't night for six months, the days are for sure shortened. i don't know what time "the sun wakes up" b/c i am not usually awake, but it does go to bed around 5-6pm in the winter. (my friend up in Nome Alaska will tell you about a different winter, as he is experiencing a summer where the sun NEVER goes down right now) I also live in eastern washington, which is the desert side, the west "wet" side is the side that gets most rain. Roslyn is on the west side. like an 1-1/2 hour drive from where i live. actually yabbit, we have one of the permiere wine destinations in the world, supposedly a longitude and latitude really similar of some famous grape growing place in italy. so we got like a kazillion winerys. (too bad i don't care for wine. so very nice warm summers, round 38 C mostly. then like -11 C in the winter :)

Been rewatching the original Addams Family series, and yeah, I'd like to live there. Or at least in the house, with the Thing. When I was a kid I think I actually asked Santa for a Thing, once...I was a weird kid.

I want to be married to Dexter, but I don't want to be super annoying Rita.

I don't watch enough TV to know what series I'd like to live in, but I wouldn't mind loving on Silas in Weeds.
