government censoring scientists...nvr

Did you see this on some news program this past weekend???  I am so pissed at the Bushwacker and his whole bunch for just abnout everything they do.  (I can't think of anything good but I am optimistic that they have done some good things).

A prominent scientist wrote a report on global warming and in order for it to get to the public it had to be screened by the President's lawyers or whoever (they apparently don't know jack about the environment). Also in the interview some pages of the edited report were shown - showing the changes the Bush's people made to them.  They are once again censoring the truth so the public doesn't know what's really going on.  The scientist said if we don't make some big changes now in terms of our pollution we will have irreversible situation within 10 years!  Bush doesn't want the public to know.  We have to get someone with some sense in the White House so we can seriously address real problems and not create more like trying to take over half the world and remake it in our image.  Yes, yes, Saddam was a horrible leader for his country but there are always more than one way to deal with a situation.  I don't believe going to war is the answer.  Arghh!  How can we get people to really understand the truth about pollution and resource consumption...  For instance I have a friend that puts a LOT of faith in scientific studies and if they are being censored then who knows what the truth really is - people (like my friend and others who don't read or pay attention to the news) won't change if they feel even the science says we are not "sure" of anything bad happening so let's just maintain the status-friggen-quo?

I am so mad at Bush and have been more so than usual since I saw this on the news.

I feel your pain, Delia! The only thing I like about bush is his dog Barney. I cannot capitalize his name or refer to him as "President", "Commander in Cheif" or any other honorific.

My bush loving mother believes that climate change is simply a cyclical event that has nothing to do with human activity -- therefore there is nothing we can do to stop it.  ::)

This pretty much sums up my feeling for the dimson:
