This made me very sad.  :'(  It wasnt until I read it that I remembered my step dad sitting at the table "smoking" and rubbing his knees.  He's been in and out of the hospital, partial lung removal, on oxygen, the whole nine yards.  I really cant say for sure if he had/has cancer (they wouldnt tell me the truth anyway) but this does hit home none the less.
