Hare Krishnas follow a vegan diet.....as do other Buddhist and Hindu sects.
I believe Seventh day adventists are vegetarian but not vegan.
Seventh Day Adventists are primarily Pescatarians.....I'm often mistaken for one when I tell people I grew up as a pesca.
Jainism comes to mind.

This is true, but I know MANY who are not vegetarian at all.
A lot of rastafarians are vegan.

Religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism and others that believe in reincarnation are vegetarians because, well--how do I say this--you might be eating a family member who had transmigrated into that animal. Or words to that effect.
There are several Christian groups that favour a vegetarian diet as being more compassionate and also better stewardship of the planet. Mennonites and other such groups for example.
Apparently my Dad thinks Jesus (as in Christianity) was a vegan....except he ate fish..... That was a new one for me :o

Not so much...the Last Supper was actually a seder, which is very much based around roast lamb...

Seventh day adventists "encourage you to be vegetarian" but do not require it. They do however stongly discourage the eating of pork (pig) believing that it is a dirty and sinful animal so all seventh day adventists, if they are not vegetarian, they do not eat pig. I think the religion is encouraging vegetarianism becouse God lived a pure lifestyle. I work with alot of seventh day adventists and they are all vegetarians, Ive never asked them if they eat fish, though-I just assumed they don't.
Agnosticism is pretty awesome because you get to make up your own rules. In fact, you should just start your own religion where veganism is the norm.

Actually, Hare Krishnas (at least some) use ghee - clarified butter - which isn't vegan.
Right - and dairy is highly regarded, in general. BUT they offer it to krishna first, so it's karma free :)>>> (that's how they used to try to convince me to eat it, hehe)

Actually SAD pretty much follow the Mosaic (Old Testament) food guidelines. Which can also mean "when in doubt, eat vegetarian" as Daniel did in Babylon. We get a SAD TV channel via satellite here and they have a lot of programmes about healthy eating, natural medicines, etc.

They celebrate the Sabbath on Saturday, according to the Mosaic pattern (sunset to sunset.) They follow the same restrictions on "clean" and "unclean" animals as the Mosaic law. I don't know if they separate meat and milk but I wouldn't be surprised. In mainstream Christian circles they are called "judaizers" because of their close following of Mosaic rules.
Their websites are full of good info on herbal medicines, etc.
I follow a pagan system of beliefs as a result I believe in respecting mother earth as well as all the things she provides, this includes a belief in the sanctity of life and all living things. This is not a particular sect of paganism but mainly a collection of beliefs from different forms of paganism that suit what I personally believe. As a result I feel that any religion that worships the earth and all it provides is a veg*n religion. I am currently lacto-ovo with plans of becoming vegan for a whole host of reason one of which is my belief in eating only what is provided for us not what we want to take (the life of a living creature etc.)
