Thich Nhat Hahn in Los Angeles and Pasadena Sat., Sept. 29

fyi ...

Zen master Thich Nhat Hahn will be leading a Peace Walk at MacArthur Park in Los Angeles Sat., Sept. 29 at 9:30 a.m.

That same day, he will be giving a public lecture at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium at 7 p.m.

More information at www.deerparkmonastery.org.

Thich Nhat Hahn (affectionately known as "Thay" which means "teacher" in Vietnamese) is a Peace Leader, Nobel Peace Prize nominee, New York Times bestseller, author and poet. The celebrated Vietnamese Buddhist monk has lived in exile in France for forty years.

I was going to go to his retreat, but I blew the $400 tuition on concert tickets.  Then I was going to go to his talk, but I blew $40 (talk + Ticketmaster charge) on a birthday gift.  ::)  So, I'm down to the Peace Walk.  Thankfully, that's free.

I'm bummed that I didn't go to the retreat. Heard poet/author Sandra Cisneros was there too. But I am going to the Peace Walk and the talk. I went two years ago and it was amazing.

Hope all is well and that you have a wonderful time if I miss you at the event.
