'Vegetarian ingredient' app... anyone tried this yet?

I don't have a 'smart phone' -- I have an incredibly, profoundly stupid phone -- so can't use this (yet!)... but would like to!

I'm wondering if it also deals with questionable stuff ('natural flavorings,' etc.) that may or may not be animal derived... but it looks like a quick handy tool, especially for label-readers who haven't yet memorized all the names of all the sneaky things that can get animal junk into food!

A friend of mine says the particular app that I posted may only work with EU codes, not in US... :-( But that's unconfirmed. More info/ research needed! Surely there are some out there that make it easier to buy a *@#!ing loaf of bread without eye fatigue from reading all that fine print!

seriously if that app worked, i might trade in my blackberry for the iPhone... i despise touch screens though but i would learn to deal
Apparently this version of OS that I've got on my iPhone is not updated enough for the Vegetarian Scanner app. ??? Need to know how to fix this. :err:

I just downloaded this one. Looks handy in a pinch. :) Too bad about the scanner not working in the US. :(

I have a dumb phone, too. :-D It's free from work and I can't be bothered to pay for a smart one, but I would like something like this app on it if I ever got one.
