What DVD are you watching lately?

I have BBC's Persuasion on, but I can't really get into. I've heard thought that BBC's Sense & Sensibility is good. Of course I"ve watched the Ang Lee Emma Thompson version which is superb... I may get it this week to see  :P

I watched all of the 8 episodes of the Grizzly Man Diaries

Funny: at times
Uproariously funny: once or twice
Happy i watched it: HELL YES!
Will i own it: not as long as it is on netflix... is it for sale??? b/c i probably would want to own it, the dude himself is amazing.

Timothy is an inspiration of how crazy i could be, and a reminder of how crazy i shouldn't be.

Please note that it is listed as horror, but it definitely isn't. It is over-the-top in true Kevin Smith fashion. Let me know what you think.

Red State
I agree probably not horror, thought it was pretty horrific. Really good! All acting was great. John Goodman looks horrible!! I thought it was oddly slow in a few places (mainly when the preacher is talking/that sermon/singing), but otherwise great. Almost Tarantino-esque. 4/5

New Town Killers
Took me like a week off and on to finish this. Despite being a "thriller" with action, it was just so boring to me. Nothing too original, nothing very surprising. Pretty long, to boot. 2/5

Yeah, the preacher's sermon was oddly drawn out but that's totally Kevin Smith's "thing". Passionate characters with ridiculous monologues. I think that even though it felt drawn out, it helped define what kind of person they were dealing with. There weren't many other scenes that surely solidified how strongly they believed what they did. Anyway, I agree completely with your review. I gave it a 4/5 as well!

I finished season 2 of Sons of Anarchy......love it!
Forks over Knives, alot of it I had read or seen before but always good information to keep reinforcing why I'm vegan

Yep, I was thinking that as well!

Does anyone else arrange their Netflix queue(s)? I drag and arrange mine by genre's, then I arrange within that by rating. So, each genre is arrange by descending star rating!

Blood River
There is not enough told in this. If I'm going to watch something for 1 1/2 hours+, then I want more conclusion/explained. More potential than follow through. I would have given this a 2.5, but leaned toward 3, because a lot of the reviews say "you must pay close attention, or you'll miss the story.." Maybe I missed it...

I don't. Do you drag what you want to watch next to the top so you'll get it next, or is there some super cool feature on Netflix that allows you to do this?

Well, I just have instant now, so I don't need to put anything at the top. I used to do the "top" arrow thing (on the left) when I had DVDS to arrange them that way, though. Now, I just actually click on the movie and drag it where I want it. Well..more on the row of the movie without actually clicking on the movie to play it...if that makes sense (it's a grabby hand pointer). DOES THAT MAKE SENSE?

YES, BUT THAT IS FAR TOO ORGANIZED FOR MY TASTES. I LIKE PUTTING THE MOVIES I WANT TO SEE NEXT AT THE TOP, AND EVERYTHING ELSE BELOW IT.

Dawn of the Dead
I always thought this was something else, and that I had seen it, but it's awesome! My favorite zombie movie. Not much wrong with this in terms of a zombie movie. Good action, not mad acting, not dumb. 4+/5

Zombie Apocalypse
Sucked. Not even finishing it. Slow and boring with way too much stupid talking. Horrible effects. 1/5

Dawn of the Dead is awesome!

I'm continuing horror movie month.

Pieces: An awesome 80's slasher. One of the best of the era!
Machine Girl: TERRIBLE. I was hoping for some serious gore, but it was 100% corny and not in the good way. 0/5
Creepshow. Ehhhh, this was OKAY. I don't like comic book movies, and this was like 8 mini-movies in one. Pretty bad! Sorry, George Romero. 2/5
Masters of Horror: JENIFER: Dario Argento directs this one. It was pretty good. Again, not as gory or crazy as I would have liked, but still good. I like this series because the movies are only an hour long and it's a lot of horror movie legends who direct them. Not as good as Takashi Miike's IMPRINT, but still good. 3/5

Which one, 1978 or 2004?  (I think I've only seen the 2004 one and I liked it.)

Ugh.  It is really bad.

Let's see, I watched: Cat People (original) for the umpteenth time.  Always good.  Dead Ringer, in which Bette Davis has an evil twin. Not so great.  10 Rillington Place, which is a serial killer (true) story, but it's more sad than scary.  Good acting, which of course you would expect from Richard Attenborough and John Hurt.

Forgot to mention, 2004. I've heard it's better than the original. I would watch the original, but it's not instant.

I definitely haven't seen the remake. I thought you were talking about the original, AC. Shame on you!
