Russian Tea

Ingredients (use vegan versions):

    3 lemons
    3 oranges
    1 pt. pineapple juice
    2 qts. weak tea
    2 tablespoon whole cloves
    2 cup sugar

Directions:

Squeeze juice from the lemons and oranges.  Pour some boiling water over the cloves and let stand for 10 minutes. Strain the juice and cloves.  Add vegan sugar and mix well.  Add the tea and heat to boiling.  Serve hot.

This is a favorite recipe from my childhood that has now become part of a holiday tradition.  Every Christmas, when I go home to visit my parents, my mother and I sip this tea and eat vegan Christmas cookies as we decorate the tree together. Enjoy!

Serves: 18

this sounds terrific! I will try it at Christmas time.

What sort of tea do you use?

(This sounds so nice. Like Sangria/mulled wine... but more wholesome.  Smiley )
