kirstinm@uclink2.berkeley.eduMint LemonadeIngredients (use vegan versions): Mint tea bags (a lot)
water
lemon juice and sugar (or lemonade mix - fresh is best though)
mint leaves (garnish)
Directions:My mom makes this for parties. I don't know where it comes from. She got it from a friend. I'm afraid I have no measurments because my mom makes it by taste.
Brew tea according to directions. You can make it weak or strong -whatever suits your taste. Refrigerate until cold. Add lemon juice and vegan sugar (or lemonade mix). Adjust amounts so that both the mint tea and the lemon can be equally tasted.
I've never heard of mint lemonade. I was looking for mint tea but all I got was this. I think I would rather have mint lemonade now, it sounds good. Well I'm sure I could buy mint tea but were I live we have wild mint and I was wondering if you can make a tea that way. If your mom has a recipe for that I hope you can mail it to me. My address is
mules24k@harborside.com. Thanks for listening. Jessica

My mom makes her tea that way, with mint leaves. sometimes i add black tea to the mix to make a bit more harmony between the two.

I haven't made this recipe, but when I was staying in California I made one with fresh mint leaves run through the blender. I used beautiful organic lemons, sucanut and a touch of honey for extra sweetness. I heard this is the best thing I've ever tasted more times than I could count. I think I used 7 or 8 leaves for two large glasses. I don't know the type of mint that was growing there, possibly pineapple mint because it was very fragrant. SERIOUSLY DELICIOUS!!!!!

I think that if you take 8 leaves and steep in boiled water for 5 min. you will get a more natural tasting lemonade. Also if you put the lemons in the microwave for 45 secons you will get more juice. Let these ingredients cool before using.
