This was wonderful!! Thankyou very much for sharing your recipe. It was a big hit with the kids. We added 2 ice cubes and 1/4 cup unsalted sunflower seeds when we added the carob.

I would use real cocoa or chocolate for this one. Carob contains hydrogenated palm oil. Might as well just eat a couple Big Macs and get it over with. Unless you are buying a different kind of carob then I have seen in the bulk food stores.

Tina, The recipe calls for roasted carob powder which does not contain any oil what'soever. You were probably thinking of carob chips which are similiar to chocolate chips.... those contain hydrogenated palm oil.

OMG, I didn't know carob chips had hydrogenated oil! Does dairy-free chocolate chips have them too? Argh Btw, this recipe sounds tasty, will try it this weekend.

Pretty much all the good stuff has hydrogenated veg oil... things like chocolate spread, hydrox cookies (which are great, because they taste just like oreos but are vegan), corn nuts, etc. I'm sure it can't be as bad for you as meat though

Just keep it in moderation and eat loads of veggies.

This is a great way to whip up an easy dessert. I like it with graham crackers.
