Substitute for Eggs in BakingIngredients (use vegan versions): one heaping tablespoon of soy flour
one tablespoon water to replace each egg
Directions:Soy Flour can replace eggs in baked goods and casseroles. This is great when camping. Simply add one heaping tablespoon of soy flour (I use Arrowhead Mills Brand) and one tablespoon water to replace each egg.

Most health food stores carry soy flour, a lot of regular grocery stores will have a health food section, check there too, our Kroger store carries it in their health food section also, our Meijer store and Cub foods have it in their health food sections.

I would like to try soy flour as an egg substitute again for banana vegan bread, but I was wondering where to increase the liquid. Obviously, with only one tablespoon of water with the soy flour isn't equivalent to the liquid an egg provides. Prior to baking, my mixed ingredients were a bit dry to work with and wasn't pourable. Any pointers???

heres another helpful egg sub, best in cookies and the like: 1 t baking powder 1/2 t baking soda 2 T flour 3 T water combine ingredients in a small bowl and beat with a fork or wisk (equalls one egg). this has excellent binding properties, has always worked wonderfully for me!
