1 (15-ounce) can chickpeas
1/4 to 1/2 cup lemon or lime juice, to taste
1/2 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
salt, to taste
pepper, to taste
Place all ingredients in a seal-able container and shake.
One of my Pakistani friends actually made this for me. She put orange juice in it, though I find I like it without it. As for the lemon/lime juice, just find what works right for you. Regardless, I find this quick, easy, and tasty in a pinch.
