1 tablespoon shortening
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
3 tablespoons (chocolate) soy milk
1/2 cup cocoa powder
Put all ingredients together and blend with mixer.
This recipe is actually a variation of a recipe that I found on here, but being the excellent cook that I am, I completely messed it up by confusing it with a fudge recipe. It turns out that I like this one a lot better. It doesn't have that vegan margarine taste that the other recipe had.
And I know there's some controversy over whether or not Crisco is vegan, so if you're really worried about it, I think vegan margarine will probably work. (The original recipe called for vegan margarine, but I ran out.)
If you aren't a big chocolate person, you can add some more vegan powdered sugar and take out some cocoa.
