20 dried red chili pods
1/2 teaspoon oregano dried
1/8 teaspoon ground cumin
2 cloves garlic
1/2 teaspoon salt
Remove stems and seeds from pods. Place pods in large covered pan. Add water to almost cover pods. Heat on stove until boil. Remove from heat, cover, let pods soak for 20 minutes.
Place 1/3 of pods in blender with some soak water enough to allow smooth blending. Blend on highest setting for 1 min adding garlic, spices and salt. Repeat until all pods blended. Simmer sauce for five mins to bring out flavors.
The Red Chili can now be used in your favorite dish.
