1 cup organic brown rice, cooked
2 tablespoons organic hulled sesame seeds, toasted, dry roasted or raw
2 tablespoons almond slivers or your preferred nuts (I have used almonds & cashews),
roasted or raw
3-4 tablespoons organic sunflower seeds
4 tablespoons organic hemp hearts (shelled hemp seeds)
2-4 tablespoons Braggs all-purpose seasoning
2-4 tablespoons healthy organic oil (I use Udos Choice)
a bit of toasted sesame oil
Mix last 5 ingredients in a bowl. When well mixed add in first 3 ingredients, mix thoroughly and enjoy.
Taste test after 2 Tbsp of Braggs, otherwise you might have to throw out the whole thing b/c its too salty! If you are doubling, or more, this recipe that doesn't necessarily mean to double, or more, the oils & Braggs. Again, taste test often. I doubled the recipe today and used 2Tbsp Udos and 1Tbsp hemp seed oil. yummy. I also always use more nuts than indicated...lots more. Love them nuts! Enjoy.
It might be a good idea to use rice that has been cooked and cooled as the oil should not be heated or it may go rancid quickly.
This is amazingly good despite it looking as though it is bland. It was a staple at the Calgary Dollars potlucks for many months and she never went home with leftovers!
