1 tablespoon peanut butter
1/2 teaspoon corn syrup (or maple syrup)
3 tablespoon rolled oats
3 tablespoon rice crispies cereal
Place peanut butter and syrup in small bowl, microwave on medium-high about 30-40 seconds. Add oats and cereal, stir well. With wet hand, press into log shape on piece of foil or plastic wrap. Wrap tightly and refrigerate at least 10 minutes.
Note: This is great for if you want to make your own granola bars and if you share a kitchen and do not have the space to store large trays of them in the fridge. Also great if just wanting a quick treat that is not too unhealthy! A lot of commercial granola bars have dairy by-products and are too vegan sugary for me. The PB gives this nice protein content too.
