1/2 cup instant oatmeal
1 tablespoon soy powder
1 teaspoon flax seeds
1 cup boiling/hot water
brown sugar/sweetener of your choice (optional)
Dump all the contents into a bowl. Add 1 cup of hot or boiling water- less if you prefer thicker oatmeal. Let sit for a couple of minutes. Enjoy! Add a side of coffee or tea and a piece of fruit for a more rounded meal.
I put all of these ingredients into little Tupperware containers and bring them to work as an alternative to store-bought packets of oatmeal, and use hot water straight from our office water dispenser. Quick and filling, plus a good source of fiber, protein and Omega 3's!
