5 good sized shiitake mushrooms, stems discarded, caps diced
1 onion, chopped
1 cup water
1 teaspoon vegan beef style broth mix
1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons vegan margarine
2 1/2 tablespoons whole wheat flour
1) Saute onions and mushrooms in vegan margarine on medium heat until onions are translucent. Combine all other ingredients, except flour, and add to the onion and mushroom mixture. Gradually whisk in flour until gravy thickens.
Serve over seitan cutlets, Tofurky slices, or mashed potatoes.
