1/2 raw pumpkin seeds
3 cups water
2 ripe bananas
1 tablespoon vanilla
2 tablespoon raw agave, maple syrup or other liquid sweetener
1) Pour seeds into a container and pour in 2 cups water. Allow seeds to soak for two hours. After soaking, pour seeds and soaking water, along with the extra cup of water and remaining ingredients into blender and blend until smooth. Serve!
The taste is sweet, the texture is smooth and if you have picky kids, they won't even know the seeds are in there.
Pumpkin seeds are filled with omega essential fatty acids. They are a very good source of the minerals phosphorus, magnesium and manganese, zinc, iron and copper, protein and vitamin K. One serving of pumpkin seeds is 1/4 cup, so this is a nutrient rich smoothie!
