Almond Face Scrub

What you need:

1/2 cup almond meal
3 tablespoons baking soda
2 tablespoons olive oil (or oil of choice)
10 drops lavender or other essential oil

What you do:

Combine all ingredients. The consistency should be doughy--neither squishy nor crumbly.
To use, take an amount the size of your fingertip and mix with a few drops of water until creamy and easily smeared. Rub over face and throat, and rinse well. I recommend using this in the shower, and washing your face before your hair. (The almond meal tends to get tangled.) Follow up with a good moisturizer.
I have extremely dry skin, and I use this as my only face wash. Since I started using it, I haven't had a single breakout, and my skin actually stays soft and smooth. One batch lasts about a month.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

Would you be able to use leftover blended almonds from homemade almond milk?

yes, almond meal is ground-up, skinless almond. it is easily found in any grocery store next to baking stuff. Or you can buy slivered almond and just quickly pulse them in the blender. works well.

Is almond meal just ground-up almonds? This sounds like the expensive face wash I have right now. I'd love to try it!
