Almond Hummus

What you need:

2 cups precooked chickpeas (garbanzos)
1/4 cup toasted almonds
3 tablespoons olive or sunflower oil
chili flakes
salt and pepper
juice of one lemon
1/4 cup water or veg broth, if needed

What you do:

Place all ingredients in blender and blitz until smooth; if you use home-cooked chick peas you may need to add a bit of water or veg broth to thin the mixture.
Season to taste.
This can be served as a side dish, or a dip. I made this for a friend who doesn't like the taste of tahini (sesame).
