Best Ever "Made in Seconds!" Hummus

What you need: 

1 cup canned chickpeas
1 and 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1 teaspoon garlic (from a jar)
3 teaspoons salt
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/4 of a red bell pepper
1/4 of a green bell pepper
1/4 of a carrot
1/4 of an onion
1 tablespoon sweet onion salad dressing
spices to taste: cumin, basil, Tabasco sauce

What you do: 

Drain and rinse the chickpeas.
Process all ingredients (including chickpeas) in a food processor till texture is smooth and creamy.
Use as dip for veggies, or spread for crackers. Good plain-- by the spoonful!

SO HOW'D IT GO?

Toooo much salt. Even 1 teaspoon is to much. Maybe the sweet onion dressing was suppose to make a difference, but then it would be high sugar and high salt.

This was the first time I made hummus so even though I was skeptical about the amount of salt I wanted to follow the recipe... my fiance and i both that it tasted like a salt lick!!  :o Waaayyyyy too much salt!

This is the first time I have made my own hummus.  Finally got tired of paying outrageous prices for it.  I really liked this and will definetly make again.  Very easy and tastes great. ;)b
