Breath-Ruining Garlic and Onion Soup

What you need:

6 large cloves garlic, peeled and chopped into large pieces
1 bunch green onion, chopped into large pieces
2 1/2 cups water
1 vegetable bouillon cube
about 1 – 2 tablespoons wild rice
cayenne pepper, to taste
parsley, to taste
salt, to taste (careful - there's already lots of sodium in the bouillon)

What you do:

I love whole cooked garlic cloves, and to satisfy my "garlic tooth" I whipped this up from stuff I just found in my pantry. Warning: DO NOT EAT THIS BEFORE A NIGHT OF KISSING, SNUGGLING, OR GENERAL PROXIMITY WITH ANOTHER HUMAN. YOUR CAT MIGHT EVEN AVOID YOU.
Bring water to boil, adding bouillon.
Cube green onions and garlic. Add to the pot along with the seasonings and wild rice.
Allow to boil until the garlic is soft enough that it melts in your mouth. YUM.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

YUM.

This was the perfect rainy-Thursday soup...very warming and delicious.  I subbed half a Vidalia for the green onion, used homemade broth instead of a cube, and added about three more cloves of garlic.

This soup was delicious.  I skipped the rice, but it definitely would have been more hearty if I'd used it.  I also used my own spices and added seeded and diced tomato to the top.  It was great with some french bread.

I really liked this. It's worth getting some nice, flavorful wild rice.  It's the perfect touch!

I am just sitting down to begin to enjoy this soup.
I used white onions instead of green onions.
Seasoning Salt instead of many of the spices recommended.
3 cups of water instead of 2 1/2.
about 4 cloves of garlic instead of 6.
And about 1/2 cup of rice instead of whatever it called for.

I wasn't sure how this was going to turn out, but let me tell you -- it really IS good!!!
