Carrot Fries

What you need:

3 large carrots, cut to 3" pieces
2 tablespoons oil (I used sesame)
salt and pepper, to taste
chili powder, optional

What you do:

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Cut the carrot pieces in half the long way (so they look like fries) with a crinkle cutter.
2. Mix carrots with the oil and set on pan. Sprinkle the salt and pepper on along with chili powder, if using.
3. Put in the oven for15 to 20 minutes.

Preparation Time:
25 minutes
Cooking Time:
Servings:
2 to 4

SO HOW'D IT GO?

This was pretty good. Had only two carrots so used a bit of extra butternut squash I had lying around. Used olive oil. Added onions. Good on its own but I admit to using ketchup! Thanks for this!

Brilliant idea! I've been having these instead of potato for a while now!
I use spray oil to keep it low cal and add a sprinkling of thyme, I've got some in the oven right now to go with my sandwich.
They also taste amazing with ketchup :)

These were pretty good. I used some veggie stock powder ( can be used as seasoning), garlic salt, olive oil, pepper and paprika..and dipped them in mayo!

These were REALLY GOOD!  I rarely ever eat cooked carrots...but I will, now  :)>>>!  I used the petitie cooking carrots (no cutting required), and olive oil, a little salt, and lots of chili powder & garlic powder.  DELISH!

Very good.  I am trying to eat these as I type....don't want to put them down.  I added a little curry powder (the kind with a kick to it).  So they are kinda spicey and sweet.  Will definately make these again. ;)b

These were great.... but I only used one tablespoon oil and I'm not sure what size carrots everyone else uses but this was the second time using a carrot recipe on this site that said it would be enough for more than one but I definitly only got enough for one person out of 3 carrots.

i completely loved these!  i threw the carrots, sesame oil, and chili powder - plus onion powder and garlic powder i added -  into a tupperware container and shook everything up for good coating.  dipped them in a ketchup/hot sauce mix and was swooning.  well absolutely make these again!

These were...good carrots. I guess I was 1/2 expecting them to be surprisingly great (like the carrot spaghetti was, for me). I love carrots, and I really like roasted carrots..but these weren't really anything special.  I liked how these were just tender enough, though. I used sesame oil and chili powder.  ;)
