Chocolate Cheesecake Pie

What you need: 

1 (12 ounce) package silken tofu
1 (8 ounce) tub vegan cream cheese
3/4 cup sugar
1 (12 ounce) package vegan chocolate chips
3 tablespoons maple syrup
1 (9") vegan graham cracker pie crust

What you do: 

1. In blender, blend tofu until smooth. With an electric mixer in medium bowl, combine vegan sugar and cream cheese and 2 tablespoons of the smoothed tofu, and beat until smooth.
2. Add cream cheese mixture to blender with remaining tofu. Blend again until smooth.
3. Melt chocolate chips in double boiler, or microwave. Add melted chips to blender, blend until chocolate is mixed, this may require some stirring. After chips and mixture are well blended, add maple syrup, blend for 30 seconds.
4. Pour mixture into pie crust until full, and refrigerate until stiff.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

It is so good I almost cried. You cannot taste the tofu at all. And the texture is really good, very smooth and thick. Great recipe! I will be making this a lot

This was good but did have a lot of sugar. I will cut the sugar down next time. I will use less chocolate next time and try to get it fluffier like another review suggested. My friends wanted the recipe so that's good.

okay so i freely admit i didnt make this pie.  i had someone make it FOR me and it was great! almost makes me wish i could cook  ;)b

i've had bad experiences with trying to give omnis carob in any baked goods. they all seem to despise it. i actually don't care for it too much either, but that's another story

I made this for my omni family, and sorry to say, they really didn't like it. Most of them tried a bite or two and wouldn't eat any more. I, on the other hand, enjoyed it. They said that it tasted nothing like Cheesecake, and that maybe if I hadn't of called it a cheesecake they wouldn't have been expecting to taste one thing and then tasting another. I used tofutti better than cream cheese, and I think maybe they aren't used to the taste? Or maybe it was the carob chips? I dunno, though, just be cautious about serving this one to omnis. I ended up eating the whole thing... not that i'm really complaining or anything.

Wow this is really good.  The consistency is perfect and creamy and it's so chocolately but not overly sweet.  I bought Soya Whipped Cream (which i think is new cause i had never seen it before) and topped it off with that.  sooo good!

this was pretty good. i think it had a little too much chocolate, and i wish i had fresh raspberries or strawberries to top it off with. good, though
