These cookies are sooo good....this is my standard recipe, they always turn out delicious, slightly chewy. At xmas time, i added a hershey kiss for those classic kiss cookies (im not vegan), and other times i add choc chips. but i  must say, these stand on their own, they dont need the chocolate!

my omni brother even says they are "the best PB cookies in the world" (even though he doesn't travel so much!  ;D).... he proceeded to eat half the  batch!

you can safely cut back on a bit of the sugar too. which i did, but then rolled the dough in  a bit of the organic sugar, to add a bit of sweet crunch to the outside.

We've just recently tried this recipe, and we find it very delicious! :D

I have made a lot of p.b. cookies and I think these are my favorite now.  SOOO GOOOD...melt in your mouth, and have a rich  p.b. flavor. I did add a pinch of kosher salt, which I liked because I'm into that salty-sweet thang.  Thank you for the recipe!  :D

I used 3/4 cup of flaxseed meal in place of 1/4 cup of vegan margarine, and they came out super!!

I used wholewheat flour and had to wait for them to cool before removing them from  the pans; they were VERY fragile and crumbly when hot! But once they got cold they were fine. I too will cut the sugar by about half the next time...I used Chinese-made peanut butter which is very, very sweet, though, so that may have been the problem. Easy and quick, though, and DH raved about the smell when they were baking!
I like the fact that this recipe makes about 2 dozen...just enough to eat and share without having the temptation around for days!

no, no this is just all wrong! It must mean baking powder rather than baking soda, because it SOOO salty. It was extremely sweet, and I even used less sugar.

so im not sure as VeGaN_ViRgO said if it was becuase i used organic pnut butter, but these came out flat and very crumbly. almost as if they werent cooked all they way.. but they were. im going to try again with regular pnut butter and maybe throw in some oats.. ill try not using as much flour. see if that helps..they were pretty tasty though!!

these cookies totally rock. i have played with them a little. i think my favorite variation was using coconut and carob chips!

My Grandma used to make me cookies that looked just like these before I went vegan!! I can't wait to try them, thank you SO much for the recipe!!! :)

I didn't like these much :(. I followed the recipe and they totally flattened out. Haha. I think it's because I used natural & organic peanut butter, which has more oil that the kind that you can find just anywhere which contains hydrogenated oil to keep it thick... My siblings loved these, but my parents and I thought they were WAY too sweet! I think I would've loved these a year or two ago when I ate things that weren't at all healthy. Not a horrible recipe, just not my style :P. Thanks for sharing though!

For others who are going to use natural peanut butter... I suggest you add maybe 1/2 cup of flour and possibly 1/4 cup oatmeal to keep it from flattening so much. Works best with normal peanut butter though.
