1 - 1,5 dl (1/2 to 1 cup) rolled oats
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sweetener of choice
3 - 5 dl (1 1/2 to 2 1/2 cups) water
fresh and dried fruit, whatever you have on hand
Do this at the evening, before you go to bed:
Place the oats in a pan, add the water, and stir it.
Turn the heat on, and bring it to a boil. Keep un stirring, while you lower the heat.
Add more water, if necessary.
Let it boil for about a minute or two, and take the pan off the heat.
And sweetener and salt, and give it a good stir. (You can also add some cinnamon; it tastes great)
Now, if you want to, you can stir in dried and fresh fruit. I find it very good with blueberries (frozen ones will do perfect), grapes, raisins, dried blueberries, strawberries or cranberries.
Place the porridge in a bowl, and cover it up with some plastic foil. Put it in the fridge.
Do this the day you want to eat it :
Take the bowl out of the fridge. (Do remember to remove the foil).
Now, you can also add some more fruit if you want to, I tend to top it with a crazy amount of bananas, grapes, fresh strawberries and blueberries, and even kiwifruit.
Serve, with some non-dairy milk on top (choose a sweet type, like rice milk, or sweeten it with some fructose), and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
