Cucumber Cantaloupe Smoothie
1/2 cantaloupe, very ripe
1/2 large or 2 small cucumbers, chopped
1 orange, peeled and sectioned
Fresh ginger, minced (as much to your taste -- I used about a teaspoon)
Cayenne pepper (optional, as desired)
1/2 - 1 cup water
This smoothie is made with alkaline ingredients and the ginger and cayenne pepper help to clear the sinuses if you're feeling under the weather!
1) Combine cucumber, orange, and a bit of water (about 1/3 cup) and blend until liquefied. Add minced ginger and blend on high 20 to 30 seconds. Add cantaloupe and a little more water (maybe another 1/3-1/2 cup). Blend on high for about 1 minute; you may add more water until it reaches desired consistency (or, instead of water, try throwing 2 or 3 ice cubes in there to chill it a bit).
2) Add a dash or two of cayenne pepper as it blends. Pour into 2 glasses, share with a friend, and enjoy!
