Deodorant

What you need:

4 tablespoons Shea butter
1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon olive oil
1/4 teaspoon vegetable glycerin
5-15 drops essential oil of your choice

What you do:

1. Boil a small pot of water. While waiting for water to boil, take an empty deodorant stick container (if you don't use deodorant, get one from a friend who does), and remove the lid. There is a tray on the inside of the container that allows the deodorant to be pushed/screwed up or down. Twist the tray all the way to the top and remove it.
2. Clean away all of the store bought doeodorant and place the container (top, tray and all) in boiling water to ensure all of the left over deodorant is removed. Remove from water, and dry with a towel. Put container back together (ensuring that you place the tray around the inner screw and screw the tray all the way back down to the bottom of the container).
3. Place Shea butter, cornstarch and baking soda in a microwave safe bowl and heat until melted (no more than 30 seconds). Stir to remove any clumps that may have formed. Add essential oil, olive oil and vegetable glycerin. Stir.
4. Pour the mixture into the deodorant container. Place in refrigerator for 30 minutes-1 hour to setup. Texture should be creamy, not gritty.
It really does work.
Source of recipe: I have been looking for recipes for natural homemade products and came across a recipe for deodorant on a website called Sonoma garden. The owner of this website found the recipe on another website called the angry chicken. I did not have all of the ingredients required for either recipe, so I modified their recipes (added some things and took others out)and came up with this.
