Easy Apple Spice Oatmeal

What you need: 

3/4 cup Old Fashioned oats (not quick cook)
1 sweet apple of choice
2 teaspoons apple pie spice
pure maple syrup or agave nectar (stevia works too)
2 cups water
milk alternative for serving

What you do: 

Core and chop apple, skinless if you prefer and place in a large sauce pan with the pie spice.
Simmer on low for 2-5 minutes or until apples start to soften.
Add oats, and water. Cook on a low boil for 10 minutes or until oats are cooked through but not breaking apart.
Add sweetener to your liking and serve with a splash of "milk" if desired.
Try adding dried cranberries or raisins with the apples!
