Easy Raw Caramel

What you need: 

1 cup raw cashews
1/2 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup agave nectar

What you do: 

1) In a high powered blender, add all ingredients. Blend until smooth.
Enjoy like you would caramel. I couldn't believe how much this taste like the real stuff! Add it to raw ice cream or regular ice cream as you normally would.
Source of recipe: I stumbled on this by mistake but I'm glad I did!

SO HOW'D IT GO?

I cheated a bit- I used maple flavored agave and mixed it with cashew butter because I was in a rush. I served this with a bunch of apple slices. After the apples were gone my hubby licked the empty bowl clean. It was so good! Very carmely. I bet it would be good over ice cream- maybe warmed up a bit. :)>>>

maple syrup is not raw.

I was actually pleasantly surprised by this recipe - it did taste exactly like caramel!  ;)b Super yummy, thank you for sharing!

I just wanted to say another way you can make raw caramel is using date paste + maple syrup and/or agave and a bit of lemon juice :)

I'll be sure to try this recipe though and compare :)
