SO HOW'D IT GO?
My boy just got me into coffee so I decided to use the leftover coffee beans for this. It left my skin soft and firm! Great idea for a girl who is trying to save money!
Thank you!
Not exactly espresso, more like Folgers but whatever! It was amazing! This is perfect because I'm a coffee addict and always have some grounds left. I mixed it with Dr. Bronners Almond liquid soap and it smelled sooo good! It's a little messy but really easy to clean up. So far it's worked better than anything I've ever bought before.
LOVE IT! Just tried it yesterday and I've never gotten my skin this soft and smooth with commercial exfoliators. It made a bit of a mess in the bath tub so I may drain the grounds through a cheese cloth first, and mix them with olive oil to hydrate as well...we'll see. Thanks!
Nice idea. Better than buying the overpriced stuff with added chemicals to help reduce wrinkles and cellulite. We like coffee here, so we'll have to start employing this tactic when we bathe. :)
Just to let you ladies know, caffeine is a skin plumper, so that means coffee scrubs reduce the appearance of cellulite.
It is differ from my sugar scrub, but still left my face refreshed. Not bad..:D
This was nice. I've used it a few times now.
I have fair skin and was concerned it would leave a tint, but it did not.
I used USED coffee grounds.
It is a little bit rough I think I prefer it as a body exfoilator (not face)
I think it'd be nice with a vanilla scented soap... that or I was thinking about mixing in some vanilla and soy milk next time for a cappucino-like scent.
Caution: Coffee grounds are hard on plumbing so don't over do it! ;)
I am guessing so - after I make my coffee - I use a single filter drip system - the grounds sit in the filter and eventually dry out. I usually compost them, but this is another way to use them. They are basically rinsed ground seeds if you think about it...
But I did not post the original recipe, I am just going by what it says...
Okay, this may be a dumb question, but...by leftover coffee grounds, do you mean the stuff AFTER you have made coffee that is still in the filter?
What a great way to use my left over coffee grounds...
Will try it asap! :D
