Fat-Free Southwestern Bean and Rice Salad

What you need: 

1 cup uncooked white rice
1 3/4 cups water
1 (15 ounce) can black beans, rinsed and drained
1 (14 ounce) can corn niblets, rinsed and drained
1 green pepper, diced
1 red pepper, diced
1/2 (16 ounce) jar hot salsa

What you do: 

1. Put the rice and water in a large, microwave-safe container. Cook on high for 3 minutes, then on medium (50% power) for 17 minutes.
2. Fluff rice and let cool. Add beans, corn, and peppers. Toss it all together.
3. Add salsa and mix until rice is evenly colored throughout. Chill and serve!

SO HOW'D IT GO?

This may be a dumb question but what size jar of salsa am I supposed to use?  I'm guessing its a smaller jar but I just want to make sure because I'm still new to cooking on my own... actually last night was the first time I really cooked dinner for me and my family.  Please help asap!!!!

I make something pretty much like this and I love it!!! I also put some diced black olives into the mix.

i made something really similar when trying to just throw something together from what i had in my cupboards.  i used brown rice instead of white though and added some black olives and  nutritional yeast.  it was really good!

this was wonderful.  i added some spices for a bit more flavor but it was very good.  i just became a vegan.  and this site has helped me out so much.  thank you.
