French Onion Dip

What you need:

1/2 cup cashew pieces
1/4 cup water
juice of 1 lemon
1 teaspoon brown rice syrup
1 packed cup crumbled firm tofu
1/4 teaspoon Bragg Liquid Aminos (may substitute soy sauce)
1/2 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon onion flakes

What you do:

1. Combine cashew pieces, water, lemon juice, and brown rice syrup in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth.
2. Add the tofu and blend for a minute or two until the mixture is a smooth consistency.
3. Add Bragg amino acids, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, salt, and 1 tablespoon onion flakes and blend well.
4. Pour the dip into a container and stir in 1 teaspoon onion flakes. Cover and refrigerate until chilled before serving. Eat with veggie crisp chips for a great snack!
Source of recipe: I came up with this recipe while I was craving the real deal. It is a great dairy free version of the real thing.
