SO HOW'D IT GO?

This made me so happy today :D I wasn't expecting this to taste so good (it looks kinda gross). I even forgot about the cider vinegar, I can't wait to make it again but with the vinegar!

I loved these! There was only a small amount of kale in the house but I used what we had & it was so good! I then went a bit mad & tried the same thing but with iceberg lettuce. They didn't go crispy because of the water content but they were just as tasty!  ;D I'm going to try to find some other veg to try it with!

Hey, nice to see some people enjoy the kale chips! If people are having problems with the texture, try cutting or tearing the pieces much smaller than in the pictures, like the size of a poker chip (they will be crispy and crunchy). You can also use the seasoned pieces of kale to top pizza, garlic bread or anything else having a quick toast or broil!

These were really awful. I'm wondering if the varying reviews don't have something to do with the kale used. Maybe some will turn out better? Anyway, mine was extremely bitter and had a really horrible aftertaste. A few pieces didn't really turn crispy, and those pieces were really yummy and just tasted like cooked, seasoned kale and not bitter at all.

I just read that if you keep kale in a warm environment it will get bitter. Maybe that is what happened.  :-\

I always use fresh kale from farmer's market or my garden.

Well I had never had kale before this and now I'm asking myself how that could possibly be.  I coated them with oil and vinegar, salt and pepper and tossed it in a bowl to fully coat it all.  I tasted a few pieces raw and considered just eating it like that because it was really tasty! I might make this as a salad next time.  I cooked it for 15 minutes  but it could have gone a few more minutes.  I don't think I dried the kale well enough after washing it.  About it serving 3-4 though...I ate it all myself! Next time I won't add as much oil so I won't feel guilty if that happens again. :)

sorry for all you who love this one, I thought it was super gross.  However, my boyfriend seems to like them.  :-\

I really liked these a lot, but my husband (who is the veggie) kinda grimaced and hated the texture. I'll make them again for me, but just a warning: some people who are wieners about texture in their food might revolt.

I didn't know what to expect from this recipe but it was decent. I'm not a vinegar fan so the next time ill use less vinegar but my step brother and step sister (9 and 11) loved them!!!!! (they had never heard of kale before)  ;)

I think this is my new favorite snack!  I love kale, so I wasn't expecting this to be bad, but I just got my 5 and 7 year old nephews to eat them too.  They really are addictive  ;D  I can't wait to get more kale and make another batch.
