SO HOW'D IT GO?

I have made these "chips" many many times and I think I like them more every time.  They truly are addictive!!  Don't be dissuaded by those who didn't care for them.
Give them a try.

Very addictive. I added a bit (1/2 tablespoon) of braggs sauce, garlic powder and a sprinkle of nutritional yeast and they were quite the snack. 8)

i tossed the kale in the oil, vinegar and salt before throwing them in the oven- this seemed to coat them evenly and they all baked PERFECTLY. i love them! the crispier chips tasted just like potato chips. actually- i think theyre better, since i don't particularly like potato chips. my roommate (meat eater college kid) loved them and ate half the chips.

anyhow, i baked two batches, and the second i baked longer- the one i baked longer came out better. makes for a tasty midnight treat!

I made this for the first time last night, but only because of the rave reviews, because let's face it, who thinks that sitting around and chewing on Kale is a good idea?

Well, I added extra vinegar 'cause I'm a vinegar fiend, and let them cook a little extra long. The crispier, less coated ones are definitely more like potato chips, and if there are any with extra coating on them, they're not as tasty, but still good. After the initial crunch though, when you've had a few in your mouth and get to the just chewing of it, the kale taste comes through. Not a bad thing if you don't mind kale. I did manage to eat a whole head of kale this way.  ::)

Incidentally, I gave one to my dog who LOVED them! Even if I was in the other room, as soon as he heard me "crunch" on one, he'd come racing in and begging for one!  ;D

I'm not realy sure how I feel about these. They are a bit odd. It did get me to eat a huge buch of kale though just trying to figure out if I like them or not. I will definatly try to make these again maybe w/ some sort of seasoning. They also took close to 15 minutes for me.

I'm sorry.  I have to agree with JaimeeLee.  I ran out and bought kale yesterday and made these last night - cooked them up crispy (12 minutes), looked just like the picture.  My husband and I had a hard time choking a few pieces down before we finally had to toss them out.  I'm not a fan, but I'm glad others have found a way to get more greens in.  ;)

These did not taste good to my friend and I.
And we have very open palettes.
No bueno.

I just made these with a friend of mine for one of our "baking-dinner parties" and they were FANTASTIC! We just stood around the pan and ate them all right after they came out of the oven. I'd so highly recommend these to go alongside a grilled tofu sandwich or basically anything for that matter. These are a great and easy way to get a serving or two of greens in. Phenomenal. Thanks for sharing the recipe, I'll definitely be making these again soon.
