Hi,
we only get kale fresh in winter, as that kills off the bitterness, year round Imight be able to find it shredded in the freezers, ... would that do, once thawed or would the texture be killed ?

Wouldn't like to buy kale just because, as kale is more of a winter food over here, so I'd appreciate any help.

you could certainly try it, but I would think thawed kale wouldn't crisp the same way fresh does.  If I were you, I'd wait until kale is in season, or grow your own if you can!  When you finally get it, make sure you try this recipe because it is DELICIOUS!

I cannot stop eating these! Best snack EVER!'
I told my father they tasted exactly like chips and he looked at me like I had three heads...but they really do!

I try and cut down on oil whenever possible, so I just used a quick spritz of cooking spray over top of them and they turned out beautifully - I wouldn't skip on it entirely, as it makes them nice and crisp.

I've never seen my two year old eat so many green leaves in a row.  What a fantastic recipe!  Thank you!

WOW.  I have been waiting to make these for ages so last night I went right down to the supermarket and picked up a big bunch of silverbeet (it is impossible to find kale where I am).  I just roughly measured out the oil and vinegar, and only had white vinegar so I used that.  My only words of warning are to go easy on the salt cos it looks like you'll need heaps but really you'll only need a tiny bit.  Also, make sure you spread them right out and possibly do them in batches as the first time i put them in all in one pan and the top ones went crispy but the bottom ones went all mushy and sunk to the bottom of the pan, which I fixed by spreading them out and cooking them a second time.  Boy, were they delicious!!!  My dad, who always turns his nose up at vegan things, asked if he could try one and then tried to steal them off me!!!

All in all, 3 big thumbs up!!!
