Karinas Tropical Morning Smoothie
1 cup frozen strawberries
1 cup fresh pineapple
1/2 cup frozen cherries
1/2 cup frozen banana
1/2 to 1 cup of fresh squeezed orange juice (enough to fill bottom of blender)
Throw everything into the blender and turn it on! Puree until its the perfect consistency for you and enjoy!
I buy fresh fruit and then freeze it in individual containers in the portions that I use for my smoothies. It is especially good when produce is on sale because it is really ripe. I just buy a bunch and freeze it, and I have fruit for smoothies always on hand. This way I have a thick 100% raw, vegan smoothie.
If you do not want your smoothie to be thick please use fresh fruit instead of frozen.
A quick note: make sure you peel and slice your banana before freezing. This makes it ready to go-plus frozen banana slices make a great snack for a sweet tooth!
