Leftover Red Wine Slow Cooker Pinto Beans

What you need:

3 cups dry pinto beans
1-3 cups stale red wine
1 bay leaf
salt and pepper, to taste

What you do:

1. Cover beans with water and soak over night. Drain in the morning.
2. Rinse and add to slow cooker with wine and bay leaf. If the wine doesn't completely cover the beans, add some additional water to cover.
3. Cook on low for 8 hours. Season, to taste.
You can add them to other recipes as you would canned beans. This is a good way to use up an open bottle of red wine that is no longer drinkable.
