Lentil Hummus

What you need:

2 cups cooked green lentils
juice of 1 lemon
2 cloves garlic, chopped
4 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons tahini
salt and pepper, to taste
red chili flakes, to taste

What you do:

1. Combine all ingredients in blender and blitz until smooth.
2. Season to taste.
A lighter version of chickpea hummus, requires less tahini for more flavor.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

Wow, cool post. I’d like to write like this too – taking time and real hard work to make a great article… but I put things off too much and never seem to get started. Thanks though.

This is delish... I made mine with black lentils and this had a surprisingly cheesy taste... This is a keeper.  :D

I didn't really like it. After I added some soy sauce and a roasted red pepper, it was edible, but I wouldn't make it again. It was also a bit too thin for my tastes.

This was really good.  I added some spices to give it some heat.  I think I like it better then chickpea hummus.  A nice change of pace for a hummus loaver like me.  Thank you for sharing this recipe.  ;)b

This is AMAZING!!! I cooked up only one cup of dry lentils and it made a HUGE batch. This is the most economical glamor food recipe on the planet!!

I took a photo before it disappears.

This needs to be on the VegWeb top recipes list!

very creamy! I used  brown lentils. Not sure what the difference is?
I  thought it was a bit bland so added  more garlic  powder & corriander
