Macaroni with Canned Veggies
14 oz macaroni (any kind will do)
10 oz can of mushrooms
9 oz can green peas
1 clove of garlic
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon all purpose seasoning or salt
4 or 5 tablespoons tomato sauce/paste/ketchup
Peel the carrots and slice into thin circles. Put about 7 cups of water to boil. Add salt and carrots. Cook carrots for 3 minutes, add macaroni and cook until ready (about 7 to 12 minutes).
Cut mushrooms. Drain the peas. In a large frying pan heat some oil. Add mushrooms and peas; add finely chopped garlic and all purpose seasoning of your choice. Fry until lightly brown.
By this time the pasta should be cooked. Drain it and add to the pan.
Add tomato sauce or tomato paste or ketchup and mix well. Leave covered for about 1 minute to heat the macaroni.
You can also add some mayo and pepper. I've made this with soy sausages - this fooled everyone.
