MIso Gravy

What you need:

Heaping tablespoon of Miso paste

tablespoon of margarine

flour

water

pepper

What you do:

So I never measure anything and my cooking always turns out great. So this gravy is reallyyy easy to make and takes no time at all. I originally made it to put in some vegan pot pies, but now I use it on everything- fries, stuffing etc. So fist of all you just make a normal rou with the flour and butter. For anyone who doesnt know how to make a rou, just melt the margarine in a sauce pan, add a decent amount of flour untill it makes a thick paste. Then add a few cups of water depending on hour much gravy you want to make. I usually add like 2 or 3 cups in a small sauce pan. Then wisk the mixture while its still on the stove, medium heat. Add the miso paste and keep wisking untll the mixture is thick and the miso is all disolved. If the gravy seems to thin, mix some corn startch in a little bowl with a tiny bit of water(just so it doesnt make the gravy all clumpy with cornstartch) and add that to the gravy. add a pit of pepper to it to finish it off. Its done, add it to whatever you wish, Ive even used it as a stirfry sauce.
