Peanut Butter and Banana Cake in a Mug! (Less than 5 minutes!)

What you need:

about 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (1/2 large mug)
2 to 3 tablespoons sugar
pinch salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon water
1 tablespoon oil (I use canola oil)
1 tablespoon mashed banana
1 fat teaspoon peanut butter (I use crunchy)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon cinnamon, or to taste

What you do:

1. Add flour, sugar, salt and baking powder to mug. Mix.
2. Add water and oil. Mix. Mixture should be liquid-ish. You may need to adjust liquids. Add banana and peanut butter. Mix.
3. Add vanilla and cinnamon. Mix. Take your mug to a microwave for 3 minutes. The cake will have a pale color once the 3 minutes are over. Fact: don't get fooled if you think that the cake is not ready yet, it is ready!
Source of recipe: I randomly put stuff inside a mug and 5 minutes later = Kaboom!'

this cake ,i was not real sure. i am glad i tried it! i thought it was really good and a quick fix snack. it did need more water,i added enough to make it like the consistancy of a mix and i made a mistake and added 2 tbs banana ,but not to worry ,turned out great! i absolutely loved it! thank you for a really great recipe, nutrishious too. :) it's a 5 star or more.

WOW!!!!  I tried this cake in a mug.  I didn't have all the ingredients (bananas) and I really wanted to add other ingredients (chocolate and maybe some nuts); but this cake is awesome.  I really love baked goods, but don't have time to bake or money to buy baked goods on a regular basis.  This works with whatever you have in the pantry.  I will try it again when I get a hold of some chocolate.  Easy clean-up and satisfies my fix for baked products.  Thanks ;)b

This has the potential to be my favorite thing ever, but I think I mucked it up and used too much flour. Ah well, lesson learned. I also added cocoa - was just in the mood for chocolate.

I used nisawong's version of this recipe, although I used twice as much peanut butter and banana :P and it turned out great!
I reminded me of carrot cake hehe!
A delight for a microwave cake!

This was awesome!!  Although, I did have to tweek the recipe a bit...I used more water, peanut butter, and more banana.  I think next time I will try adding some pecans and choc. chips!!  This was so easy and I think I might have to make it again tonight....  :)

Hey everyone! Thanks for the reviews! I am glad you liked it! It s super easy to make and incredibly fast and convenient if you are craving a piece of cake  :D

Also, sorry that the measurements could have been kind of off, it really does depend on how large/big your mug is. Everytime I make it I use a different kind of mug lol, and I only pour in random amounts of ingredients and it always works! I like eating it straight out of the microwave because I love hot cakes. Also, a good tip is to experiment... If you feel like making a chocolate cake then you should take off a bit of the flour and replace it with cocoa powder. You can totally get creative too, like adding vegan chocolate chips or even blueberries or coconut if you like!

Mmmmmm midnight student dinner delight! This is really yummy. I tweeked it around a little and followed basically nisawong's measurements. I added chopped walnuts and used orange juice as the liquid. Next time I will use whole wheat flour (I was out) and see about replacing the oil with apple sauce. MMmmmm!!! I wish I hadn't made this now...it certainly will not be the last time!
